I’m Frances Pennington, a Colorado native who’s been making art for as long as I can remember. You’ll usually find me teaching and bartending at Whimsy, or pouring my heart into custom pieces through my brand, The Coffin & The Crow. Creativity is at the center of everything I do—whether it’s sharing the joy of painting with others or exploring the more atmospheric and personal side of my craft. Every custom piece I create is made with deep care and affection, built from collaboration and the stories people entrust to me. My work blends the macabre with the whimsical, inspired by nature, the mountains I call home, and a lifelong love of dark beauty.
